No DLC for Planet Zoo 2 has been announced beyond launch day itself. That sentence is the whole news: eleven days before release, Frontier has published no roadmap, no season pass and no post-launch pack list on any first-party channel.

What does exist on day one
Two content items ship with the game itself, and both are covered in detail on the editions page:
- Bonus Content Pack. The pre-order bonus listed on the official site, included with both editions. Frontier has not itemised its contents on a first-party page.
- Deluxe Upgrade Pack. The Deluxe Edition's animal pack, and the least ambiguous part of it now that Frontier's own Zoopedia tags the six entries: Golden Eagle, Golden Lion Tamarin, Axolotl, Blue and Gold Fusilier, Great Hammerhead and Longfin Batfish, alongside the exclusive animal signs. PlayStation and Xbox both describe it as an additional six species; Zoopedia is what gives us the names. The full table sits on the editions page.
The series record that feeds the expectations
The label's history is why everyone assumes packs are coming:
- Planet Zoo 1 received a long run of animal packs on Steam: the Aquatic Pack, Africa Pack, Europe Pack, Twilight Pack, Tropical Pack, Oceania Pack, Conservation Pack and Asia Animal Pack, among others. That DLC line is the exact reason players keep asking whether first-game animals will return in the sequel.
- Planet Coaster 2, the coaster sibling, already shows four themed packs on Steam: Silver Screen Pack, Parades Pack, Sorcery Pack and Toybox Pack. Frontier supports its Planet games with paid content for years.
Neither record is a promise. It is context.
What we are watching for
- Any roadmap announcement in the launch window
- Whether the Deluxe Upgrade Pack appears as a standalone store item, which would confirm its contents the official way
- Whether first-game pack animals resurface in any future listing
When Frontier announces anything, this page and the news timeline get the update with a fresh date.
FAQ
Is there a season pass for Planet Zoo 2?
No season pass, expansion pass or roadmap has been announced. If one appears, it will be on the official site and the Steam store page first.
Will Planet Zoo 1 DLC animals come to Planet Zoo 2?
Unannounced. The first game sold eight and more animal packs, and no first-party source has said whether those species appear in the sequel. See the series carryover page for the full list of unanswered transfer questions.
Is the Deluxe Upgrade Pack worth buying?
That depends on whether the six reported species matter to you, and the six-species list is still a community compilation. The price gap over the Standard Edition is $15. The full breakdown is on the editions page.
